Kindness Challenge No. 7

This week’s challenge may be a bit more tricky for some of you, especially if you’re in a place that is still fairly heavily locked down. But there are ways to be creative about it.

Many organisations put a lot of effort into fundraising, but sometimes the greatest resource you may have to offer is time.

Perhaps there is an animal shelter near you that needs volunteers to help clean out after the creatures. Maybe there is a retirement village that has a program for pairing people with old folks who have no one to talk to. Or maybe someone in your own home just needs a bit more attention than you have had to give. (I don’t judge - I understand this one.

This week I’d like you to think about a way to give some of your time to someone who really needs it. Whether it’s an official program, like a shelter or a buddy program, or just a way to spend some of your time in a way that benefits someone else.

Sometimes it can be harder to give time than money, but it is often just as, if not more, valued.
